SAGA03 bathymetry
Single Beam sonar data were collected using an hull mounted Echo sounder (Atlas Deso25 operating at frequencies of 12, 100, 33 and 210 kHz) on board R/V Urania in the Adriatic Sea. The echo sounding pro?les are unevenly distributed and the sea?oor coverage is within the range of one sounding every 20-40 m, along track. DGPS positioning system with metrical accuracy was in use. The sound speed was set to 1500 m/s. In areas where the sound speed pro?les were highly variable, local values obtained from CTD measurements were applied.
