Survey MSFD-IT-3-2017 - Adriatico

La campagna MSFD-3-IT-2017 – Adriatico (MARINE STRATEGY 2017) è la terza

campagna oceanografica di monitoraggio annuale degli ambienti profondi e rientra nel

programma ministeriale “Strategia Marina”. Le aree di indagine comprendono l‘intera

sottoregione Mar Adriatico.

L’obiettivo principale è quello di individuare nuovi siti d’interesse e continuare il

monitoraggio di ambienti rilevanti nei siti identificati dalle campagne precedenti. Le

operazioni effettuate hanno coinvolto discipline differenti, concentrandosi sullo studio di

ambienti profondi e superficiali e sull’analisi della colonna d’acqua: studio delle comunità

tramite immagini visuali, analisi degli inquinanti in acqua e nel sedimento, campionamento

della componente fitoplanctonica e microzooplanctonica, monitoraggio di rettili e

mammiferi marini e impatto antropico sul fondo.

La campagna MSFD-3-IT-2017 si prefigge di monitorare lo stato di salute degli ecosistemi

profondi secondo diversi punti di vista. Per questo motivo, le operazioni effettuate hanno

coinvolto discipline differenti concentrandosi sia sulla colonna d’acqua, che sul sedimento

sia in ambiente profondo che più superficiale.
