Survey MS16 - ADRIATICO

La campagna MARINE STRATEGY 2016 è la terza campagna oceanografica di

monitoraggio degli ambienti profondi e rientra nel programma ministeriale “Strategia

Marina”. Le aree d’indagine comprendono l’intero bacino Adriatico (dal traverso di Otranto

al Golfo di Trieste). L’obiettivo principale è quello di mettere le basi e iniziare il

monitoraggio di ambienti profondi rilevanti e già identificati, in tutte le sue componenti,

dall’analisi degli inquinanti in acqua e nel sedimento, il monitoraggio della componente

fitoplanctonica e zooplanctonica, bio-ottica, inquinamento acustico in mare, il monitoraggio

di rettili e mammiferi marini, l’impatto antropico sul fondo, ecc.

L’obiettivo della campagna MARINE STRATEGY è quello di monitorare lo stato di salute

degli ecosistemi profondi secondo diversi punti di vista. Per questo motivo, le operazioni

effettuate hanno coinvolto discipline differenti concentrandosi sia sulla colonna d’acqua,

che sul sedimento sia in ambiente profondo (oltre i -100 m) che più superficiale. Le

indagini si sono svolte nelle acque territoriali.
